Mwadui Resettlement Project Support

UTU JAMII played a significant role in the Mwadui Tailing Facility Resettlement Project, supporting communities affected by the 2022 failure and ensuring their rights and well-being were safeguarded throughout the resettlement process.

Working in a resource-heavy region like Mwadui presented unique challenges. Community relations were strained, mistrust ran high, and navigating complex social dynamics threatened project progress.
